Data Deletion Policy

This page is for users of the BatteryProof app who wish to delete their account. We are committed to your privacy while maintaining the integrity of our battery health benchmarks.

How to request account deletion

To request deletion of your account, please send an email to support@BatteryProof.com.

  • Email Source: The request must come from the email address associated with your account.

  • Subject Line: Please use "Account Deletion Request."



What happens to your data

When you delete your account, we perform a two-step process to protect your identity while preserving technical data:

1. Permanent Deletion of Personal Information (PII)
We permanently erase all information that identifies you as an individual, including:

  • Your registered email address.

  • Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) — these are removed to ensure the data is no longer tied to a specific vehicle.

  • Any generated certificates containing personal or vehicle-specific identifiers.


2. Anonymization of Technical Data
To help improve battery health analytics and industry standards, we retain anonymized technical data (such as battery performance metrics and odometer readings).

Note: This data is stripped of all personal identifiers and VINs. It becomes part of a general pool of technical statistics that cannot be traced back to you or your specific vehicle.

Data Retention Timeline

Once your request is received, we will process the deletion and anonymization within 7 business days. After this process is complete, your personal account can never be recovered.
